Healthcare-ID, Inc. (H-ID) announces winner of drawing from AABB CTTXPO 2012

Winner of iPad drawing is chosen

Buffalo Grove, IL, October 22, 2012 – Healthcare-ID, Inc. announced today that the winner of the Win an iPad contest held during the AABB Annual Meeting & CTTXPO in Boston, MA was selected. The winner is Christine Pothier from Rhode Island Blood Center, located in Providence, Rhode Island. Christine will be individually notified and the iPad will be sent to her shortly. Congratulations, Christine!

The drawing was designed to get potential customers using the features of the Internet Computer Assisted Self Interview (iCASI) available for Donor-ID Web™. Contestants were given a link to a website where they registered from any computer as if they were going to make a blood donation and answered the health history questionnaire like a donor would. They then printed their “boarding pass” receipt or emailed the document to themselves where, if they had a smart phone, they could display the boarding pass on the phone. When they arrived at the Healthcare-ID booth at the CTTXPO, Healthcare-ID staff was able to retrieve the information needed to register the contestant for the iPad drawing from the boarding pass receipt or from the email.

“This was a unique method to demonstrate our software to potential customers and to showcase one of our most popular Donor-ID Web™ features,” said Bryan Sadorf, Executive Vice President and COO of Healthcare-ID, “and those who participated were enthusiastic about the process. I hope that Christine enjoys the prize!” The winner's name will also be posted on the Healthcare-ID website: www.healthcare-id.com.
