Healthcare-ID, Inc. announces receipt of 510(k) clearance for Donor-ID Webä ver. 3.1.4
Enhanced version of Donor-ID Webä is available to Blood Centers
Buffalo Grove, IL, June 10, 2009 – Healthcare-ID, Inc. announces today that it received 510(k) clearance from the Food and Drug Administration for Donor-ID WebÔ version 3.1.4. This software version includes two exciting new features: 1) the ability to capture the donor’s signature electronically, 2) functionality for the donor to answer the CASI questions over the internet on the day of the donation prior to arrival at the collection site. “As Healthcare-ID continually seeks creative ways to make use of advancements in technology, we are pleased to make these enhancements available to blood center customers and their donors”, says Rick Stone, Vice President of Product Development.
Additional development on the Donor-ID WebÔ product line includesa donor survey module. “Two options for timing of the survey allow the flexibility desired by our customers to present the donor with a questionnaire”, says Brian Sadorf, Vice President of Product Management, “The survey module can be launched either in conjunction with the Donor Check-In module or after the donation has taken place and the donor is in the refreshment area.”
