BIO-Key enhances Donor-ID Web screening
Healthcare-ID, Inc. availability of Donor-ID Webä with BIO-key enhanced donor search and H-ID work with AABB Biovigilance Team
Buffalo Grove, IL, August 7, 2009 – Healthcare-ID, Inc. announces availability of Donor-ID WebTM version 3.2.2.10 integrating BIO-key’s one-touch, positive blood donor identification into the Healthcare-ID platform. Now, the BIO-key enabled Donor-ID Web™ solution’s simple, fast, and accurate identification process will be offered as an option for a more efficient alternative to the current method of using donor ID cards, and photo ID lookups based on name.

Additionally, Healthcare-ID, Inc. is pleased to announce that work has been proceeding with the AABB Biovigilance Team on a Donor Reaction Module that will enable Blood Center customers to capture and report the data required regarding donor reactions (e.g. vital signs, reaction classifications, various demographic data) as part of the Biovigilance Monitoring Program. Customers attending the annual Donor-ID User Group Meeting in September can expect to see a demonstration of the module in action.
