ITxM Licenses Donor-ID Web

The Institute for Transfusion Medicine(Ó) (ITxM(Ó)) Licenses Healthcare-ID’s Donor-ID Webã product for Donor Collection Sites in Illinois , Pennsylvania , and West Virginia

Chicago, IL -- 09/22/09 – Healthcare-ID announced today that The Institute for Transfusion Medicine (Ó) (ITxM(Ó)), the nation's third largest independent blood center through its LifeSource and Central Blood Bank business units, has licensed Donor-ID Webä software for its collection sites in Illinois, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

Pittsburgh-based Central Blood Bank and LifeSource annually distribute nearly one-million blood products to 100 healthcare facilities in four states. Central Blood Bank services more than 40 area hospitals in western Pennsylvania , eastern Ohio , and northern West Virginia through its collections at 27 community donor centers and more than 200 mobile blood drives a month. LifeSource services approximately 60 hospitals in Illinois through its collections at 25 donor centers and more than 200 mobile blood drives a month.
